Welcome!
Saunter With Sanika is a byproduct of my desire to find a new hobby during the Covid-19 lockdown. Granted, starting a travel blog when you can’t leave your room isn’t the smartest decision a person can make, but I think sometimes we all have to jump the gun if we want to pursue our passions.
Truthfully, the idea of creating a travel blog was incredibly daunting because writing feels like such a personal aspect of who I am, and being judged on it is terrifying. However, I realised that my love for creating content and connecting with fellow travellers is far greater than my fears of judgement.
Travelling has always been my means of escape. It gives me the perfect opportunity to leave the worries of regular life behind, immerse in a foreign environment that opens my mind to new cultures and discover new aspects of myself. It often allows me to step out of mundane routines, and try new and unique experiences – anything from unfamiliar cuisine to thrilling water sports – that enrich my curiosity and fuel my creativity and adventurous spirit.
I cherish such realisations deeply and want to dive into them with people who have made travel their entire personality and also with anyone searching for travel inspiration. Therefore, this blog is a place for me to share my adventures and connect with you, so we can discover the beautiful world around us together.
I will be revealing my travel experiences, suggest places to visit and share sightseeing spots that are actually worth the time and money – which should help you prepare an itinerary for your next big trip with ease.
